Exhibition: Anne Frank: A History for Today

This exhibit touches on Anne Frank's story, the experience of a young Jewish girl, growing up within the inhumanity of the Holocaust. It also touches on the Canadian participation in the Second World War in Europe. as told through the story of Canadian soldiers, dealing with themes of discrimination, Canada’s role in major battles, POW experiences, the liberation of Nazi camps, war brides, and increasing Canadian’s knowledge about Canada’s history and role.

We love sharing the history that surrounds you at the Fort la Reine Museum. Travel back in time, and let us put together a historic experience for you. Expect some fun time travel, unique selfie moments, hands on fun with a scavenger hunt, and a greater connection to the history of the Manitoba prairies! (Suggested length of visit is 1.5 - 2 hours).  *Free of charge with regular museum admission, and an advanced booking for a minimum group of 6 individuals.

Fort la Reine Museum is proud to host a Museum house concert "Old Friends Who Like Pie: Kate Farris and Peter Paul Van Camp". 

On June 7th at 7pm, experience a live museum house concert from Kate Farris and Peter Paul Van Camp at the Fort la Reine Museum. 

Last year during our Meet-U events, Kate Farris was one of our speakers and performers. Everyone enjoyed the event immensely and she will return this year to do a concert with rhymester, Peter Paul Van Camp.
