Prairie Wildlife brings Burrowing friends to the Fort la Reine Museum
Keeping in theme with our 2017 traveling exhibition Panache: Caribou and other Cervids of Canada the Fort la Reine Museum have invited Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation to the museum with their furry friends to educate and engage with museum visitors. Seeing the animals along with their ambassadors will be included with regular museum admission.
On July 2nd, 2017, Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation will be here at the museum to engage with visitors about Manitoba's natural wildlife, with a focus on burrowing animals, such as burrowing owls and our ever-popular Ricardson Ground Squirrels (More commonly known as 'Prairie Dogs'). Come out and see some of these brilliant creatures and learn about what makes them a special part of our natural heritage in our diverse North American environment and ecosystem.
